Widely used for water/hot water supply piping and floor heating, cross-linked polyethylene (PE) piping is an essential material for housing construction. The mainstream method of extrusion molding for cross-linked polyethylene pipes is the “compound molding” method, in which necessary raw materials are kneaded and pelletized in advance. However, PLA GIKEN CO., LTD. introduced a new method known as the "Monosil method", and, for the first time in Japan, succeeded in commercializing a manufacturing system that can by-pass the above compounding process. By enabling the direct feeding of the raw materials into the extruder, the entire process, from blending to extrusion molding, can be done oin a single production line. Because of the significant savings in raw materials costs, the earlier this extrusion line is introduced, the greater the benefit to the manufacturer.
